Issues Management:
Key Components and Strategies

  Thursday, March 22, 2000
Sheraton Uptown Hotel
11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Public relations professionals are quick to jump into crisis mode when something unexpected happens on the job.  The adrenalin rush forces PR experts to act immediately to address the problem at hand.  But how do you sustain that energy and creativity on an ongoing issue?

Michelle Campbell, executive director of communications and marketing for Presbyterian Healthcare Services, will address the topic of issues management at the March 22 meeting of the New Mexico Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.  Ms. Campbell will provide insight into how to manage continuous public relations issues: what key steps to take, who to include on your team, how to stay in touch with your constituents, and most importantly, how to evaluate your success.

The NMPRSA meeting and luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m. at the Sheraton Uptown Hotel located at 2600 Louisiana Blvd. NE.  Cost is $17 for members, $25 for non-members and $12 for students.  RSVP before noon on Monday, March 19, by contacting Sam Giammo at 505-272-3682 or .
