The Link between
Lobbying & Public Relations

Thursday, June 21, 2001
St. John's College in Santa Fe
11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The New Mexico Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America presents lobbyists Bob Gold, Katharine Huffman and Dick Minzner at the annual NMPRSA luncheon in Santa Fe on Thursday, June 21 at 11:45. The speakers will talk about the link between lobbying and public relations, and how they can work together to achieve results.

This is a must attend luncheon for those looking to get the inside track into getting bills noticed during a legislative session.

Bob Gold has owned Bob Gold & Associates, a lobbying, media relations and public relations firm in Santa Fe since 1986. Mr. Gold has handled more than 10-thousand pieces of legislation during his 34 years of dealing with government affairs. His current client list includes: New Mexico Financial Services Association, New Mexico Broadcasters, New Mexico Retail Association and the New Mexico Restaurant Association.

Katharine Huffman is the Director of the New Mexico Drug Policy Project of the Lindesmith Center Drug Policy Foundation, a national non-profit organization.

The New Mexico Drug Policy Project works to promote open dialogue on issues related to drug policy throughout the state. Over the past year, Katharine has worked closely with Governor Gary Johnson's office and the Legislature in their development and consideration of a broad spectrum of drug policy reform legislation.

Dick Minzner is the lobbyist for the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center.
